Boxing star turned away by nightclub

みるとオリンピックのボクサーでスターの人が入店拒否された、という。英国人はそれをみて嫌気がさした、と。
ん？みると白人じゃないのか？また、イギリス人が入店拒否されたのかな、と思った。

読んでみるとそうではなく、Travellerジプシーだからのようだ。
この方、以前にもなんどか、入店拒否にあったことがあるらしい。
Mr Barrett came back from England to live in Galway with his family during the summer.
But he said he had encountered four incidents where he was refused entry to premises since his return. However, he said the recent incident was the most humiliating and he was considering leaving Galway.・・・・・He said he knew many members of the Traveller community who do not go out because they fear the embarrassment of being refused entry. 差別状況が日本よりひどく、それへの法的対抗手段は日本と同様であることに着目しておきたい。
