Paris: Muslim students attacked
Three students at the Janson-de-Sailly school (16th arrondissement in Paris) were victims of an attack, Thursday, Jan. 8th, in front of their school. The Students, aged 15-17, of North-African origins, were beaten by youth who came to distribute leaflets for the Jewish Defense League (JDL), an extremist organization banned in the United States and Israel.

PARIS (AFP)---A Jewish man was stabbed four times in a Paris suburb in an anti-Semitic attack, officials said Friday, as the Israeli offensive in Gaza continued to stoke tension in France.
The 24-year-old man was beaten up late Thursday by two robbers who wanted to steal his car and, after they discovered he was Jewish, pulled out a knife and stabbed him, in the latest in a spate of such attacks.

どちらもヘイトクライムといってよいでしょう。

ムスリム側の暴動をおそれて、イスラエルの旗を掲揚をしている部屋に警察がいって、その旗を降ろさせた、というのです。 もちろん、表現の自由の重大な侵害で、警察の行為も非難されているわけですが、しかし、そういったことをせざるえないような異常な雰囲気があるのではないか、と思わせる事件ですね。
前にも書きましたけど、イスラエルとパレスチナが当該地域で戦争になったから、といって、それ以外の、海外の地で、イスラエル人、ユダヤ人、と、パレスチナ人、ムスリムが対抗しあう理由は、本来、あまりない。むしろ、海外にいるからこそ、冷静に対話の道を見つけて、彼の地に対して見本をみせてあげればよいようにも、思うが、現実はそうならない。
海外にでても強いナショナリズムを背負っている。
もっと、気を重くするのはーーまた、フランスに戻りますけどーーー

ユダヤ人との平和的共存を唱道するイスラム教徒が同じイスラム教徒によってその平和活動について脅迫される、という事態まで起きている、ということです。
少なくとも、今の世代の日本人は日本国内で、こうした激しい、宗教闘争というか、民族闘争、というの経験していない。神話に基づいた民族意識、他国、多文化に対する激烈な罵倒のすごさ、というものについて経験していない。
しかし、これから日本も経験するようになるでしょう。
