要するに、日本に関しては、「軍国主義」と「ナショナリズム」のレンズをはめてみる。そうすると、ああ、これも軍国主義の徴候に違いない、あれもナショナリズムの徴候だ、などという記事が跋扈するわけだ。
おれなんか、、別に他国や他国人を排斥非難するのではなく、日本を擁護したり、応援したりする人がもう少しいてもよさそうに思うんだが、どうもあまりいない。中国や韓国のナショナリズムに同情する日本のナショナリストまでいて、なんだかなああ、と思うくらいである。ま、それがよさでもある、と思っておきましょう。それはさておき、

Xenophobia on the Rise Among German Youth, Study Says
The survey found that one in every seven young Germans, or 14.4 percent, could be considered "very hostile to foreigners." And just under 30 percent responded in the affirmative when asked whether they thought whether there were too many foreigners in Germany.
The study also found that 4.9 percent of male respondents were affiliated with far-right groups -- far more than were involved in mainstream German politics.
Still, the study recorded a slight rise in serious cases of violence.

NPD Leaders on Trial for Racist Campaign Against Soccer Star
Far-right National Democratic Party leader Udo Voigt, party spokesman Klaus Beier and the head of the party's legal committee, Frank Schwerdt, face two counts of racial incitement and one of defamation.
The defendants refused to enter pleas in their trial's opening day.
They are said to have printed and distributed leaflets before the 2006 World Cup insinuating that Patrick Owomoyela was not worthy of playing on the German national soccer team.
The NPD distributed the pamphlets in early 2006 ahead of the Germany World Cup showing Owomoyela wearing the white shirt of Germany's national team with the caption, "White. Not just the color of the jersey!"

どうもBBCはーーー馬鹿だな。少数派でももって日本を代表させるのは感心しない。ラーベについては、本ブログでも取り上げたことがある。 むしろ、中国人や世界中のひとが読んでおいてよい、本だと思う。
まあ、それは、ともかく、これもドイツのナショナリズムというめがねをかけて見れは、日中問題というより、ドイツのナチの見直し、正当化、と言えないこともないだろう。やっぱ偏見ってこわいね。

US H-1B visa restrictions to end in two years

WASHINGTON: The US government's controversial restriction on companies from hiring skilled foreign workers with non-immigrant H-1B visas will continue for only two years, the immigration department has said.
As part of a stimulus package passed last month for revival of the economy, President Barack Obama signed a new law, named "Employ American Workers Act", which makes it difficult for the companies having received government bailout funds to hire H-1B foreign workers.
景気の刺激策ということで、アメリカも、アメリカ人を雇え、という法案が通過している、という。
保護主義的傾向ともいえるが、しかし、やっぱアメリカはナショナリスティックだと、という偏見の眼鏡をつけていれば、「ああ、これまた、例の如く、アメリカのナショナリズムの発動だわ」という記事が書けるかもしれない。
ジャーナリストなんていい加減だね。
